The Department of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Puducherry, organised a consumer right day celebration . World Oral Health celebrated as the part of the event . World Oral Health Day (WOHD) celebration on 27th March 2025 at Saradha Gangadharan College. This campaign aimed to raise awareness about the importance of oral health and its impact on overall well-being, aligning with the 2025 WOHD theme, “A Happy Mouth is a Happy Mind.”
As part of the celebration, students were provided with valuable oral health tips and encouraged to adopt healthy oral habits. Informative pamphlets on “Oral Health Tips” and “Choose Life, Not Tobacco” were distributed to emphasize the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene and the risks associated with tobacco use.
A highlight of the event was the Oral Health Pledge, where students committed to practicing good oral hygiene and promoting positive oral health behaviours. Approximately 250 students participated in the event, and 7 faculty members actively engaging in the awareness session and pledge-taking ceremony.
The event successfully promoted the significance of oral health and encouraged students to adopt healthier lifestyles, reinforcing the connection between a healthy mouth and a happy mind.
