NOHP Puducherry - World Oral health day awareness lecture & Scrrening

On the occasion of World Oral Health Day (10th March 2025), an Oral Health Education Camp was successfully at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Polytechnic College, Yanam.

Program Highlights:

1. Brushing Techniques Demonstration:
Proper brushing techniques were demonstrated using models to educate students on effective oral hygiene practices.
2. Health Talk on Oral Hygiene:
A detailed talk was given on oral hygiene instructions, focusing on the importance of maintaining good oral health and its impact on overall well-being.
3. Awareness on Tobacco and Its Impact:
The harmful effects of tobacco on oral and general health, as well as its social impact, were highlighted to raise awareness among students.

Participation and Impact:
• Beneficiaries: Over 170 students actively participated in the camp and benefited from the awareness sessions.
• Staff Involvement: 7 staff members from the college also participated and supported the event.

The camp was well-received, and the students showed keen interest in adopting better oral health practices. The interactive sessions helped clarify doubts and motivated students to maintain good oral hygiene habits and avoid harmful practices such as tobacco use.

The Oral Health Education Camp was a successful initiative in promoting awareness about oral health and encouraging healthier lifestyle choices among students.
