World Cancer Day Observance at PHC Nettapakkam
On February 25, 2025, PHC Nettapakkam observed World Cancer Day (February 4, 2025) with the theme “United by Unique.” The program focused on raising awareness about Oral Cancer, covering its etiology, oral manifestations, early detection, diagnosis, management, and alternative methods to quit tobacco/control addiction. The role of the Tobacco Cessation Center (TCC) was also highlighted.
A total of 54 NCD patients benefited from the session, which was conducted by three Medical Officers (MOs), one Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM), and three Group D staff. Informational pamphlets titled “Choose Life, Not Tobacco” were distributed to participants.
