Faculty of Dentistry - Beirut Arab University

Campaign

To celebrate the national awareness campaign "February,  the National Month for Children's Oral Health",  the Faculty of Dentistry at Beirut Arab University (BAU) is hosting an engaging and educational lecture focusing on the importance of maintaining a healthy smile. The session will cover essential oral hygiene practices, including proper brushing and flossing techniques, the impact of diet on dental health, and the causes of cavities. Through fun and interactive discussions, children will learn how sugary foods and poor hygiene contribute to tooth decay and how they can protect their teeth from an early age. Special emphasis will be placed on the importance of fissure sealants, particularly for newly erupting first permanent molars, as they act as a protective barrier against cavities in these vulnerable teeth. Therefore, as part of this event, free dental check-ups, fissure sealant applications, and fluoride treatments will be provided to all attendees, ensuring they receive professional care to help prevent cavities and strengthen their enamel. With the guidance of experienced dentists and educators, this initiative aims to promote lifelong healthy habits in young children while making learning about oral health exciting and accessible. We will ensure that attendees will live a day filled with smiles, knowledge, and free dental care!
