The Uzunma Happy Teeth Initiative

A dental outreach to an internally displaced persons camp in Abuja Nigeria. This camp comprises of refugees who have been forced away from their homes in the northern part of Nigeria due to terrorism, tribal and religious wars. It also houses the very poor and underserved populations.

The outreach was specifically to children in the camp, and about 400 children were present. Activities included:

1. An educational session where the children were spoken to on proper oral hygiene practices. 

2. ⁠Dental check ups and treatments to those in need of them 

3. ⁠Distributed food and toothpastes to the children present
