25/03/26 Dental Unit - PHC Nettapakkam # WOHD 2026 Celebration @ ANC CLINIC: An Awareness session was conducted on the topic " Importance of Oral health on Pregnancy". Good dietary habits and good oral hygiene habits were explained as it is crucial for both mother and baby to prevent low birth weight , preterm and preeclampsia. The ill effects of Tobacco and its impact on mother and baby were highlighted. Dos and don'ts in oral care were stressed upon . Brushing techniques were demonstrated using dental models and posters. Oral hygiene pledge was taken. Oral screening was done for early diagnosis and treatment plan. The needy were referred to dental OPD for dental management. Oral health pamphlets were distributed to promote good oral hygiene practices and for future references.Beneficiaries: 67
