NOHP Puducherry - NOHP Puducherry - Oral awareness session conducted for the ANC Mothers at AAM - SHC - Andiarpalayum

An Oral Screening and Treatment Camp was successfully conducted at AAM Sub Health Center, Andiarpalayam, on 28-01-2026, with the objective of promoting oral health awareness among antenatal mothers. The program emphasized the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene during pregnancy to prevent dental and gum-related problems. 
Oral hygiene instructions were clearly explained, and proper brushing techniques were demonstrated to ensure effective daily oral care practices.
Special antenatal oral health guidance was provided, highlighting the impact of maternal oral health on both mother and child. 
Oral screening was carried out for all , and appropriate advice and referrals were given based on individual oral health needs. The session encouraged mothers to adopt healthy oral habits and seek timely dental care.
Overall, the camp was informative and beneficial, and nearly 25 antenatal mothers actively participated and gained awareness about maintaining optimal oral health during pregnancy.
