Area specific community campaign by CHC Karikalampakkam :

During this four month campaign, various activities were conducted in the dental opd at CHC Karikalampakkam.

The campaign covered a wide range of activities including oral health education sessions to the nursing students,physiotherapy students,patients from NCD, Adolesent, well baby, ANC clinics along with screening camps, and basic dental treatments.

On behalf of Swasth Nari,Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan campaign- oral cancer screening , dental screening and treatment camp was also conducted.

 Special emphasis was placed on educating patients about proper oral hygiene practices, the importance of regular dental check-ups, and the harmful effects of tobacco use.

During the campaign, individuals from diverse age groups were screened for common dental conditions such as dental caries, periodontal diseases, and oral lesions. Necessary treatments such as scaling, fillings, and extractions were provided on-site, while complicated cases were referred to higher centres for advanced care.

The program also focused on vulnerable and underserved populations, ensuring accessibility to essential dental services. Interactive sessions, demonstrations, and distribution of educational materials helped reinforce key oral health messages.
Overall, the four-month campaign significantly contributed to improving oral health awareness and accessibility to dental care services at the grassroots level, aligning with the goals of the National Oral Health Program.
