Objective:
The purpose of this campaign is to raise public awareness about the importance of oral hygiene, specifically focusing on the need for regular toothbrush replacement and the correct brushing techniques as many people are not aware of these basic measures to maintain a good oral hygiene. The initiative will encourage individuals to dispose of their old toothbrushes and receive a new dental kit which includes a toothbrush and a paste , by participating in a demonstration on proper brushing techniques. This campaign will not only educate but also provide tangible support for improving oral health habits.
1. Campaign Overview:
In celebration of Oral Health Day ,we propose an interactive awareness event that will educate the public on the following key points:
- How often should you change your toothbrush?
- The proper techniques for brushing your teeth
Through live demonstrations, distribution of educational material, and an engaging activity, we aim to drive home the importance of using an effective toothbrush and brushing correctly.
2. Campaign Details:
A. Key Elements of the Campaign:
1. Toothbrush Disposal Box:
We will set up designated collection boxes at the event venue where individuals can dispose of their old toothbrushes. This initiative will encourage participants to be mindful of the lifespan of their toothbrushes, which should typically be replaced every 3 to 4 months, or sooner if the bristles are frayed.
2. Dental Kit Distribution:
Participants who dispose of their old toothbrushes will receive a dental kit that contains a new toothbrush, toothpaste. The goal is to promote the idea that a fresh start with a new toothbrush can lead to better oral health.
3. Live Brushing Demonstration:
Professional dentists will demonstrate the correct brushing technique, focusing on:
- The right amount of toothpaste.
- The proper brushing motion
- Brushing for the recommended two minutes.
- Cleaning all parts of the mouth: teeth, gums, and tongue.
This demonstration will be interactive, with attendees encouraged to ask questions and practice the technique.
4 Incentive to Participate:
Participants will be motivated to dispose of their old toothbrushes with the incentive of receiving a free dental kit. This creates a sense of ownership and responsibility over their oral health, while also addressing the common issue of under- or over-using toothbrushes.
