Oral Hygiene Week

We are holding an oral hygiene week from 17th March for a project.  We are a 71 bedded residential and Dementia home in Wolverhampton. We are holding an oral hygiene week with active participation from staff, residents and family's/friends. 

We have activities planned for the week. We are holding an oral themed colouring competition. Completing personalised oral questionnaires for each resident and their routines. 

We are holding an information table in reception highlighting the importance of good oral care especially for residents with Dementia. We have put together guide of equipment they may need, such as denture pots and fluoride paste. 

We are promoting healthy eating and hydration and including this with a mocktail afternoon and fruit kebabs and platters. We are also showing off our pearly whites with a selfie photo session. 

Staff will compete in team building and dress up theme to promote this further.
