Walkathon for a Healthier Puducherry!
World TB Day × World Oral Health Day | 24th March 2025
📍 Odiyampet, Villianur
On the occasion of World TB Day and World Oral Health Day, the Directorate of Health & Family Welfare Services, Puducherry, organized a vibrant walkathon at Odiyampet, Villianur — uniting two crucial public health missions under one stride! 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️
The walkathon was flagged off by our esteemed Chief Guest Dr. Sevvel, Director of Health, and State TB Officer Dr. Venkatesh, in the presence of distinguished dignitaries:

💪 ~200 nursing students from various colleges marched with energy, raising powerful slogans against TB and championing the importance of oral health — spreading awareness to over 1,000 people!
Following the walkathon, a special health camp screened participants and community members for:

🍬 Random Blood Sugar (RBS) | 🫁 Chest X-Ray for TB Detection
✅ 250 people benefited from free health screening!
Together, we walk — toward a TB-free, orally healthy Puducherry! 💚
