NOHP Puducherry - Oral Health Awareness at Block level Gender campaign 3.0

The NOHP dental surgeon at PHC Nettapakkam, Puducherry India,  organized a Gender Campaign 3.0 at Sivan Koil, Nettapakkam on 5th March 2025 in collaboration with Self Help Groups. The event focused on the theme, “The health of a woman is the capital of the family.”

In observance of World Oral Health Day 2025, which highlighted the theme “A Happy Mouth is a Happy Mind,” the following key topics were addressed:
    •    Oral Hygiene Instructions – Educating participants on proper oral care practices.
    •    Tobacco and Its Impact on Health and Society – Raising awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco.
    •    Oral Cancer Screening – Encouraging individuals aged 30 and above to undergo oral cancer screening.

Pamphlets  on topic "Choose life not tobacco"  and "Oral health awareness" were also distributed. The campaign benefited Self Help Groups and the general public, with nearly 55 participants attending the event.
