NOHP Puducherry - Oral Cancer Screening & Dental Awareness camp for Health Workers

NOHP Puducherry in Yanam District organised an oral cancer screening camp  at Government General Hospital, Yanam - Puducherry. This camp was conducted by the dental team at GGH Yanam which aimed at screening the health workers like Accredited Social Health Activists and Auxiliary Nurse Midwives for oral cancer along with general dental check up. 

The health workers were also educated about maintaining good oral hygiene, the relationship between maintaining good mental health and it's effect on oral health was also explained. Creating awareness among the health workers helps us to educate the General public as well through them as they are the first point of contact to the  people in the rural and urban areas. Nearly 55 people benefitted from this event.
