NOHP Puducherry - Mega Health Mela Day -2

The health department government of Puducherry organised a mega health mela where stalls on the different specialities of medicine and all the programs of the national health mission put up awareness stalls for the benefit of the community. The National oral Health program, Puducherry in collaboration with Mahatma Gandhi Post graduate Institute of Dental Sciences participated in this health mela and conducted awareness sessions, dental screening and treatments with the help of Mobile dental vans. This awareness and treatment  camp was conducted for 3 days at Kamarajar mani mandabam a public exhibition venue in Puducherry.

This health mela was the day 2 activities where  186 individuals were screened, treatments like oral prophylaxis ,permanent and temporary restorations were also done to the screened patients at this camp with the help of mobile dental van. The public were educated on proper brushing techniques through demonstrations using dental models along with oral cancer screening. Beneficiaries of day 2 -  nearly 1600 individuals
