NOHP Puducherry - Healthy Workers, Healthy Smiles: Prioritizing Oral Wellness at Suzlon Energy

World Oral Health Day Celebration, a dental awareness session on topic  “*Healthy Workers, Healthy Smiles: A Workplace Priority “*- was successfully conducted on April 10, 2026 for the industrial workers of Suzlon Energy Limited, with the aim of promoting oral health and emphasizing its importance in overall well-being and workplace productivity.

The session focused on educating workers about common dental problems such as tooth decay, gum diseases, sensitivity, and the impact of poor oral hygiene on general health. Special attention was given to the role of tobacco use, stress, and irregular eating habits—factors commonly associated with industrial work environments—in contributing to oral health issues.

Practical demonstrations were carried out on correct brushing techniques, flossing methods, and the use of other oral hygiene aids.

The talk also highlighted the importance of regular dental Interactive discussions allowed workers to clarify their doubts and share their experiences, making the session engaging and impactful.

Signature campaign was also conducted followed by oral health pledge by the workers. Nearly 65 benefitted.
