Our Primary School No. 52, named after T. Kościuszko, is participating in World Oral Health Day, celebrated on March 20. This year's main slogan is "A Happy Mouth is... A Happy Mind."
Together with the mascot, Toothie the Beaver, we are joining this global initiative by singing the theme song of the same title.
With school nurse Ms. Joanna Blok and students from grades 1-3, who have learned the lyrics, we recorded a video of the song to encourage everyone to take care of their teeth! The video of the song is on School YouTube to be watched by everyone.

Ms. Joanna Blok, our school nurse, regularly holds talks with children about oral hygiene, demonstrates proper brushing techniques using a dental model, and teaches them about nutrition principles that affect dental health.
The fluoride treatment, conducted under the supervision of the school nurse six times a year, is also used as an opportunity to educate children about oral health care. During these sessions, children learn the proper brushing techniques and gain valuable practice.
The teacher of English, Ms. Magdalena Iwanowska prepared and taught the younger students the English song "A Happy Mouth..." and recorded a video, which was then uploaded to the school's YouTube portal.
At our school, there is also an exhibition about World Oral Health Day displayed on two boards. Big photos of teeth and smiles of pirmary students as well as the posters with Toothie can be viewed on the ground floor and the first floor of the school.
Each student will receive a certificate for their participation and engagement in performing the song with Toothie the Beaver image.
On March 20, oral hygiene talks will be conducted to educate students on proper dental care.
During lessons, children will have the opportunity to complete Toothie the Beaver’s exercises and learn in a fun way how to brush their teeth properly and take care of their oral hygiene.
