The Department of Public Health Dentistry, Government Dental College and Hospital, Mumbai, successfully conducted a two-day Free Dental Check-up and Treatment Camp on 28th February and 1st March 2026 through its State-of-the-Art Mobile Dental Van, as part of the prestigious “Hind Di Chadar” program commemorating the 350th Shaheedi Samagam of Guru Tegh Bahadur.

The Hind Di Chadar event was a mega-scale national gathering, witnessing an overwhelming participation of over 15 lakh (1500,000+) devotees and visitors from across the country. The event held immense religious, cultural, and historical significance, paying tribute to the supreme sacrifice of Guru Tegh Bahadur. The occasion was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, and the Hon’ble Union Home Minister, Shri Amit Shah, along with several other VIPs and public representatives, underscoring the national importance of the event.

Target Population

A massive, diverse cross-section of over over 15 lakh (1500,000+)  and visitors from across India, including children, the elderly, and high-risk groups.
